Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Brut
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Brut
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is the purest expression of Chardonnay in Reims, produced by the oldest Champagne house (founded in 1729). Made from 25–30 crus – predominantly from the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Sézannais and Vallée de la Vesle – it combines freshness, elegance and an enveloping texture. It is a non-vintage Champagne, with 20–30% reserve wines to ensure the Maison's style across harvest years.
Vinification: manual harvest; alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats; malolactic fermentation; ageing in cellars for 2–3 years; dosage of 7 g/L; 12.5% vol.
Tasting notes: bright pale yellow colour with almond green reflections. On the nose, intense fresh fruit (ripe lemon, pear, peach), followed by white flowers and a subtle touch of ginger and pink pepper. On the palate, it combines tension and roundness: creamy structure, ripe citrus and tropical hints, long and delicate finish.
Grape varieties: 100% Chardonnay
Ideal with seafood and fish, served at ~8 °C; present it in a tulip glass to reveal its aromatic complexity. An iconic, precise and vibrant Blanc de Blancs — perfect for toasting and for the table, and a benchmark for those seeking the crystalline elegance of Champagne Chardonnay.
